Junior rackets (like the Cosco ACE Junior 26) are shorter and lighter, sized for children learning the game, while adult rackets suit teens and grown-ups. Racket length is matched to height and age — a junior 26" suits roughly ages 9–10, with smaller sizes for younger children.
Tennis balls are the one thing every player reorders — they lose bounce with use, so keeping a fresh can on hand matters. We also stock the grips, sets and accessories that get a beginner started.
Match racket length to the child: as a rough guide, 23" suits ages 7–8, 25" ages 8–9, and 26" ages 9–10, moving to a full 27" adult racket around age 11. A racket that's too long or heavy makes learning harder — start smaller.
